Vegas plot
Ralph Lamp, a former military police officer during World War II, is appointed sheriff of Las Vegas in the 1960s. Ralph mainly hopes to enjoy the peace and quiet on his farm, but Las Vegas as a gambling city is increasingly overrun by corrupt people. Ralph is asked to investigate a murder of a casino employee, but soon crosses paths with Vincent Savino, a Chicago thug who has set his sights on Las Vegas and hopes to take control of the city.
