The Jetty plot
A holiday home in a picturesque lakeside town in Lancashire is set on fire. Detective Ember Manning must figure out the connection between the fire and a podcast journalist investigating a cold case involving missing persons and an illicit love triangle between a man in his twenties and two underage girls. But as Ember gets closer to the truth, it threatens to destroy her life - forcing her to reconsider everything she thought she knew about her past, her present, and the city she's always called home.

Crime/Thriller is listed as a genre. This is only a fraction of the drama that this series actually represents. Four fairly tiring episodes of about an hour that could have easily been put into a movie of an hour and a half. The character Ember who is on the one hand a resolute detective and on the other hand the unstable mother with tears in her eyes almost continuously. A bit of a strange whole that for me, because of the underlying plot, was just enough.
