The Chemistry of Death plot

After a personal tragedy, forensic anthropologist Dr. David Hunter left his career as a police consultant and settled as a general practitioner in a small town in Norfolk, England. When a murder takes place there, and the body of a seriously mutilated woman is found, the local police turn to him with a request for help. Hunter is reluctant to get involved. When a second woman is murdered, the townspeople bombard each other with suspicion - and "newcomer" Hunter is also blamed.
