Taggart plot

Taggart is set in Glasgow in the Maryhill Police Station. The taciturn Superintendent of Glasgow Police Jim Taggart is the type of anti-hero many can identify with. Later in the series, he was replaced by Michael Jardine, who was promoted from Inspector to Chief Inspector, and was then replaced in turn by Chief Inspector Matt Burke.
