Strandhotellet plot
To celebrate his 60th birthday, Werner Gyllenmark throws a party at his beach hotel and invites his family, employees and even his nemesis, Egil Grip. But the event ends abruptly with an accident that shocks the whole town. Slowly but surely, intimate secrets come to light that some people go to great lengths to keep hidden.

A typical Läckberg series. The atmosphere, the characters (mostly depressed and sour types), even the music (actually some chords played in succession) are comparable to previous series. The strength of this Strandhotellet also lies in the fact that virtually nothing actually happens, but that it still fascinates you so much that you have to keep watching, up to and including the thick cliffhanger at the end; a second season is definitely coming, given the various open ends. Although it's not a top series, it's just enough for me.
