The Good Doctor plot
A young surgeon with autism and Savant syndrome, Shaun Murphy, moves from a small town in the United States to work at the prestigious San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Within the hospital the question arises: can a person who does not have the qualities to empathize with other people save lives? Aaron Glassman, the hospital's director, tries to convince his colleagues to hire Shaun. Shaun uses his impressive medical skills to save lives and challenge his skeptical colleagues.

Hospital series with the twist of an autistic doctor in training. Would normally not appeal to me but Freddy Highmore really carries the series. Other characters are also interesting and you get to know them better throughout the episodes. Despite some heavy subjects, it is easy to look away.

Nice hospital series from the makers of House MD, smoothly made and populated by sympathetic characters. This is on the superficial and sometimes improbable side, but the storylines are generally interesting enough and the characters so engaging that the series is very nice to watch. In short, just the right mix of soap, humor and drama. House MD's formula is clearly recognizable, but who cares. Better stolen good from yourself than bad invented by yourself!
