Line Of Duty S6 offers serial entertainment as usual. Anti-corruption unit AC-12 searches for bent coppers driven by. A case in point is the murder of journalist Gail Vella. Top actress Kelly Macdonald (The Victim, in which she acts sublimely, Giri/Haji) plays a leading role and does it well; load-bearing but at the same time inconspicuous in terms of acting. We see, of course, exciting action scenes, lots of mysteries and suspicions, and the well-known hierarchical, conflicting British police units. Yes sir, no boss, sorry ma'am; it remains unreal formal in S6 too.
But let's be honest, the interrogations, the detective work, the resisting police top: we've all seen it before in previous seasons. In that regard, S6 is quite decent and old skool. Nevertheless, Line Of Duty remains one of the best thriller dramas of the past 10 years. And Jed Mercurio (Bodyguard) has once again created an excellent sixth season, in the ongoing quest for 'H'.

Sixth and final (?) season of this great English police series about the British anti-corruption unit AC-12. This last series gets off to a slow start with a rather tame first episode, but soon after, the intrigue and story twists are again to be enjoyed and things are tense again. The inevitable finale can never please everyone and I'm not 100% happy with it either, but I can accept it. And if you think about it, it's actually a fitting ending.
