Kidnapped plot
The son of the wealthy and powerful New York family Cain is kidnapped. They do everything they can to keep the case out of the press. The engaged FBI and private investigator soon become entangled in a web of manipulation and deception in which everyone seems suspicious and no one is safe.

The first 4 episodes I really had to get into it, you don't know much and the show has a high tempo, but then the ball starts rolling even faster and more and more puzzle pieces unravel. The show manages to hold the tension well and build it up to a climax with a surprising but satisfying ending. The acting is also very good, all of them quality actors who cooperated and the run-up to a second season was promising, unfortunately the show, like many other quality series, was canceled too early.

One of the best series I've seen in this genre. Despite the length - given the number of complications they could have made it last twice as long - the tension remained. The surprising plot twists kept it captivating from start to finish. Great action, great cast. I would have rated it even higher if they had left out some stupidities and improbabilities. The final scene also detracts somewhat from the whole.
