Didn't see season 1 yet, but season 2 was very good.
So a good to very good police series with an endearing, but certainly aloof, chief inspector. Classic but also neatly put together, exciting and with generally acceptable characters and motifs.
Episodes 5 and 6 of this season were especially enjoyable. In particular because they point out certain abuses that can arise during the prosecution and punishment of a perpetrator, "with certain relationships" and also because the inner state of mind of our Dalgliesh gently sheds his reluctance for a moment. Thus another psychological touch in the ending.
