Crime plot

When a schoolgirl from Edinburgh is kidnapped, Inspector Ray Lennox, because of his own traumatic past, strongly identifies with the victim. He believes that serial killer Mister Confectioner is behind it, but his bosses are convinced that he is already behind bars. Lennox's insistence that they have the wrong man doesn't just bring him into conflict with his bosses. He also ends up on Mister Confectioner's radar himself. This draws the inspector into a dangerous cat-and-mouse game.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the 10-minute crash course "How to write a crime script".

To get straight to the point... these are the mandatory ingredients:

- The main character must be a troubled person. That could be drug use, for example. Or a serious incident in his youth. Or of course: both. Just think so; more is better.

- There should be an innocent prisoner.

- A "Quid Pro Quo Hannibal like" end game always does well.

- And last but not least; stretch the series for more advertising revenue:

- Make sure that obvious investigations are not - or later - done.

- Provide enough irrelevant story lines.

I struggled to finish the series. I didn't find it exciting and I didn't find the lead actor convincing either.

Two * for the attempt.

For me a separate, intriguing, very fascinating detective series. On the one hand, the series plays with types and strange situations between people, on the other hand, the series goes very seriously and deeply into subjects. Very worth it for me. Bad acting? I don't think so at all!
