Ivalo plot
While investigating a serial killer in a remote log cabin in Finnish Lapland, police officer Nina Kautsalo finds two dead and one prostitute who has not yet died. When an unknown deadly virus is found in her blood, Helsinki-based German virologist Thomas Lorenz is called in. He must identify the virus and prevent it from spreading. Things get even more complicated when German Marcus Eiben gets involved. He is the CEO of a pharmaceutical company and an acquaintance of Lorenz.

You can watch this series with the thermostat a few degrees lower than normal, which gives you a win-win situation; everything is warmer than the locations in this first season of Ivalo. Fine Scandinavian series from Finnish origin, maybe slightly less than certain Swedish crime series, but certainly equal in terms of plot. Improbabilities, bad luck, coincidences, private problems and one-man and one-woman actions are just as present in this series as in the better Swedish crime series. In addition, it remained fascinating, with a dip around part 7, and occasionally even exciting. The lock was unfortunately fairly cut off, but that is also somewhat the standard in this type of series. On to the second season.
