Central to this series is the events of the employees of the struggling WKRP radio station in Cincinnati, Ohio. This radio station decides to change their cheesy image by playing music that the public really wants to hear. However, this means that the employees have to adapt considerably. In addition, the board has decided that some new, flamboyant, presenters must be added.
