Another wonderful interplay between Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin. Aging is a grand battle against decline, yet the process is simultaneously so incredibly banal. But ultimately, the friendship between the actor who never made it and the manager who kept believing endures. Also truly wonderful guest roles from Kathleen Turner and Haley Joel Osment. Perhaps this sequel is a bit sharper and better timed than the previous one!?
