The Doris Day Show plot
The widow Doris Martin and her two young sons leave the big city because of the crowds. They find peace and tranquility on her family's farm, which is run by her father Buck and his assistant Leroy. Later, Doris, Buck and sons Billy and Toby move to San Francisco, where Doris lands a job as a secretary for bumbling magazine publisher Michael Nicholson. After a while, the Martin family moves again, this time to an apartment above Paluccis' Italian restaurant, and Doris begins writing pieces for Today's World magazine.
