Rising Damp plot

Rupert Rigsby is a landlord with old-fashioned views, he is stingy and sleazy, right-wing in his thinking and prejudiced against his tenants whom he continuously spies. These were Miss Ruth Jones who worked in a school, a spinster looking for a husband (which never worked out), Alan Moore, a left-wing student from a middle-class family, and Philip Smith, an immigrant from Africa who claims to be the son of an African to be chieftain.
