Please Sir! plot

Bernard Hedges has just graduated from teacher training and is making his appearance at Fenn Street school. He is still somewhat unhappy about his actions, but he does care a lot about his busy, unruly students. His colleagues are less interested in these students and therefore do not understand what Bernard sees in them.
