In-Laws plot
Matt Landis is the son-in-law who tries to stand up for himself, overcome his nervousness and get his father-in-law to like him. It's not easy when his overbearing but subtly humorous father-in-law coughs up $30,000 so Matt can get a chef training course. In addition, Matt and his wife Alex now live in their house. To make matters worse, "Mom" dives into the real estate business and forgets her household chores and also her real name. She calls herself Marlene.
