Adam Ruins Everything plot

In Adam Ruins Everything, host Adam Conover offers a combination of comedy, history and science to dispel widespread misconceptions about everything we take for granted. Each episode starts with a perfectly normal person going about their daily life before they pose a common misconception about a particular topic. Adam will then appear out of nowhere and introduce himself, leading to the opening titles. By openly breaking the fourth wall, Adam will deconstruct three specific misconceptions about the episode's subject matter, using his "magic TV host powers" to introduce sketch characters, time travel, and animated segments, much to the chagrin of the other.
