A married couple with three children living in Detroit. Father Paul Hennessy stops writing sports articles to keep a column about raising their three teenagers, while mother Cate returns to her former job as a nurse. Father Paul wants to stop his teenage children Bridget, Kerry and Rory from dating. He has eight simple rules that candidates must comply with in order to be allowed to date his children.
