Thomas & Friends plot

We follow the adventures of a family of talking locomotives on the imaginary island of Sodor, whose title hero is the young, sky-blue steam engine Thomas. Thomas often gets into trouble because he wants to fix things that should actually be done better by older trains. "The Fat Controller", a potheaded executive in a top hat, often comes up with a special assignment for Thomas, but his enthusiasm causes him to ignore warnings and the assignment goes awry; with the help of others he is able to put things right, to everyone's delight.
