The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest plot

For Jonny Quest, a teenager, computers hold no secrets. Together with Hadji Singh and Jessie Bannon, two peers, he is part of the Quest Foundation. Led by Dr. Benton Quest and his bodyguard Race Bannon, this organization investigates strange phenomena, legends and unexplained mysteries in the most exotic locations. They often use Questworld, an unpredictable VR environment that was developed to help solve riddles. Questworld is also the reason why Jonny Quest's team has a lot of enemies. Criminal organizations from all over the world are doing everything they can to get their hands on this tool.

The real adventures of Jonny Quest intro theme - YouTube

Yes, this is it, my favorite (instrumental) intro music of all time! As far as cartoons go, that is. I still get instant goosebumps when I hear this tune. Incredibly good. No, fantastic! Epic indeed, what a track! Listen. Then listen, I tell you:

The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest Intro (Audio) - YouTube

It was instant love between me and this dazzling opener. I remember like it was yesterday when my jaw dropped when I saw this for the first time. This splashed off the screen and just screamed 'thrill & adventure'. It was also something very different from what we usually saw during that period. The traditional animation still looks very good, by the way, which is not inferior to some contemporary ones. The series was ahead of its time in several ways.

Only the computer-animated scenes in Questworld are now extremely outdated, which is unavoidable. But in '96, this was impressive, at least in an animated series aimed at youth. Although, on the youth ... These adventures were packed with action and characters dared, sometimes gruesomely, to die. Not so common in such cartoons either. And the characters weren't always the clichéd characters they might have been. I absolutely enjoyed this at the time.

PS: Even stinissen did not give 2.5 or lower. A 3 actually. So there must be something to it. Kidding dude, kidding.
