Duck Dodgers plot

Animated series inspired by the Merrie Melodies cartoon 'Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century', which parodied the science fiction book series 'Buck Rogers in the 25th Century' and 'Flash Gordon'. The main character is Daffy Duck as Duck Dodgers, an unfortunate duck who was frozen for three centuries, was thawed out in the 24 1/2th century, and is subsequently appointed by Chief Scientist Dr. Ignatius Q 'IQ' Hi to defend Earth against the Martians, who are ruled by the Martian Queen and protected by the Martian Commander X-2, played by Marvin Martian. Dodgers is a selfish goofball who gets easily distracted, leaving it often up to his sidekick Cadet, played by Porky Pig, to keep things together and guide the team to the successful completion of Dodgers' missions.
