Asta and Yuno were left at the same church on the same day. They grew up together as children and heard stories about the Wizard King, a title for the strongest mage in the kingdom. They promised to compete with each other for the title, but it soon became clear that Asta cannot use magic. Desperately, he tries to awaken his powers by exercising physically. When they turn fifteen, the two friends set out into the world, both seeking the same goal: to become the Wizard King.
