Bakemonogatari plot

Koyomi Araragi is a graduating student who is almost fully human again after being a vampire for a short time. One day, a classmate named Hitagi Senjougahara Hitagi, who is notorious for not talking to anyone, falls down the stairs into Koyomi's arms. He discovers that she literally weighs next to nothing and decides to help her. It turns out she's not the only girl who needs his help.

Bakemonogatari season 1

Finally finished.

I rarely watch series anymore, but for this I like to make an exception. Not as frenzied as the recent film series, but still absolutely worth it in terms of direction. And that's exactly the reason why I usually don't watch series, because it sometimes wants to be lacking.

Despite the fact that I already knew some things from the films (such as the coloring pages with keywords), it still remains something completely unique. It's strange, it's hard to explain, but it brings a certain rhythm to the sequence that's hard to grasp.

Visually it also looks really good, although the animation itself is rather sparse. But things like editing, style and abstraction ensure that there is always something to experience visually. The soundtrack is also worth checking out, with quite a bit of recurring music, which in a way is almost enchanting.

It finally took me half a year, but that has more to do with me than with the quality of this series. Strong start of the franchise, soon Nisemonogatari but once can give.
