Wynonna Earp plot
Wynnona Earp takes on demons and other supernatural creatures. She uses her unique abilities, and gets help from her allies, a group of maladjusted Aliens. Together they fight against the paranormal demons. After years on the run and serving time in juvenile detention, Wynonna Earp finally returns home. The only problem is that no one wants to see her back in her city, but then she becomes city's only hope in exterminating mysterious demons. Wynonna must now choose which side of the law she fights on to clear the name of her legendary great-grandfathers Wyatt Earp.

Canada really poops this kind of series in recent years, with Emily Andras as chief, you could say: Lost Girl, Killjoys, Wynonna Earp. All have a loose thread. Of course there are Continuum and Orphan Black, but I still have the feeling that those series do their best to take the concept seriously.
Not this series. Wynonna is a distant relative of Wyatt Earp and now has the gift/burden of sending returning souls from that period back to hell with an old-fashioned pistol. Meanwhile, there is a bookworm in the form of her sister, Wyatt's ex-accomplice Doc Holiday is also walking around, there are special forces specializing in the paranormal and there is a lesbian police officer.. Well, you just have to come up with this kind of nonsense. Call it a cross between Sleepy Hollow Season 1's history-making fun and the nonsensical but sexy Lost Girl. In the end it comes down to elements of western, horror, action and comedy. Nice to see that the series gradually becomes more violent, bloodier and more nonsense.
EDIT: The Canadian, too early deceased Todd and the Book of Pure Evil fits in well with this pulp, , although that series is a bit more comedy (with a star role by Jason Mewes as a cleaner)
