The members of the elite unit ICS (Immigration and Customs Security) are confronted with life-threatening assignments every day. They hunt terrorists and criminals who smuggle everything from drugs and organs to enriched uranium and children. In addition, the border that must be guarded is not just a line between countries. In the modern world, things are usually much more complicated. Appointments made behind closed doors in Ottawa, Washington or London put the ICS team in opaque situations where the right choice is never obvious. Working on the front lines, the team members encounter the best and worst in humanity.
