Snabba Cash plot
Stockholm, ten years after the events of the film trilogy. It is a vibrant time where the desire for status and money is stronger than ever. Tech entrepreneur Leya is determined to make it no matter what. She starts a business with criminal money but finds out the hard way that there is no quick way to the top without paying the price. After the feature film trilogy (and the breakthrough in the US by Joel Kinnaman) there is now the series Snabba Cash. This Swedish take on Mocro Mafia is extremely enjoyable; fast, hard, menacing, depressing and constantly playing with the question of who is loyal to whom? Bestselling author Jens Lapidus (Top Dog) has another big finger in the pie as executive producer. He is assisted by co-author Michael Hjort, known for comparable crime series such as Advokaten and Alex. The scenario and elaboration of Snabba Cash look realistic. This is reinforced by the fact that the camera is constantly close to the actors' skin, and is accompanying, riding and flying along. Today's Stockholm has major problems with drugs, violence and gang wars, and the actors on duty play naturally and with conviction. Although the story is a bit one-dimensional about gags and grabs, Snabba Cash is a smooth binge watcher. Yalla!

This first season can compete with the film trilogy, although it only gets really interesting in the last two parts. Great cast, even though there are few known ones from other Swedish crime series, of which Leya is best portrayed.
