Johan Falk is a police inspector who, after a career at Europol in The Hague, works for a special unit: GSI (Gruppen för Särskilda Insatser). This unit specializes in serious crime. They track down ruthless criminals who engage in trafficking in women, arms and extortion without shying away from violence. They combat this serious crime with the help of infiltrators, among other things. The infiltrator Johan Falk works with is called Frank Wagner.

Een waardig laatste seizoen van deze reeks. Keihard, realistisch en geniaal. De reviews die vertellen dat ieder deel een op zich staand verhaal is kloppen maar gedeeltelijk. Als je echt op de hoogte wil raken van het gehele verhaal met alle details dan is het toch sterk aan te raden om alle delen, te beginnen met de 3 prequels in de juiste volgorde te bekijken. Seizoen 3 is wat dat betreft bijna niet als afzonderlijke delen te bekijken. In tegensteling tot de voorgaande seizoenen begint het vrij rustig maar richting het einde neemt de spanning behoorlijk toe. De afronding is klasse. De cast zet ook in dit seizoen onverminderd een geweldige prestatie neer. Een geweldige Zweedse productie die ik iedereen, die van actie/thrillers/misdaad houdt, aan kan bevelen. Trouwens, ze noemen dit seizoen film 13-17, maar met de 3 prequels zou dit film 16-20 mogen heten.

A worthy final season of this series. Tough, realistic and genius. The reviews that say that each part is a separate story are only partially correct. If you really want to get to know the whole story with all the details then it is strongly recommended to watch all parts, starting with the 3 prequels in the right order. Season 3 is almost impossible to watch as separate parts. In contrast to the previous seasons, it starts fairly quietly, but towards the end the tension increases considerably. The finish is class. The cast continues to put in a great performance in this season. A great Swedish production that I can recommend to anyone who likes action/thrillers/crime.

By the way, they are calling this season movie 13-17, but with the 3 prequels this should be called movie 16-20.
