Johan Falk plot

Johan Falk is a police inspector who, after a career at Europol in The Hague, works for a special unit: GSI (Gruppen för Särskilda Insatser). This unit specializes in serious crime. They track down ruthless criminals who engage in trafficking in women, arms and extortion without shying away from violence. They combat this serious crime with the help of infiltrators, among other things. The infiltrator Johan Falk works with is called Frank Wagner.

Serie 3, deel 3 - 5. Iets minder spectaculair dan de eerdere delen maar het niveau van de plots en de acteerprestaties is constant. Het blijft een heel goede serie. Nog 1 deel te gaan in dit seizoen. Ben benieuwd of ik mijn waardering voor dit seizoen nog moet bijstellen. Wat het geheel betreft valt in ieder geval wel op dat in iedere aflevering wel iemand van de vaste cast eruit wordt gelicht als centraal figuur, naast Johan Falk natuurlijk.

Series 3, part 3 - 5. Slightly less spectacular than the earlier parts, but the level of the plots and the acting is constant. It's still a very good series. One more part to go in this season. I wonder if I should adjust my rating for this season.

As far as the whole is concerned, it is in any case striking that in every episode someone from the regular cast is highlighted as the central figure, in addition to Johan Falk of course.

Vond er niet veel aan. Veel toevalligheden, weinig sympathieke karakters, simplistische verhoudingen goeien / boeven (dat behoorlijk wringt bij de inzet van informanten) en een lichtelijk pretentieus Godfather sfeersausje erover, aangedikt met een soortgelijke soundtrack. Als je 't niet te serieus neemt, nog wel te doen als tijdverdrijf. 2,5*.

Didn't like it much. Lots of coincidences, not very sympathetic characters, simplistic relationships between good guys and bad guys (which is quite annoying when using informants) and a slightly pretentious Godfather atmosphere, enhanced with a similar soundtrack. If you don't take it too seriously, still do it as a pastime.
