Otôto No Otto plot

Yaichi lives with his daughter Kana in a suburb of modern-day Tokyo. Their lives are suddenly turned upside down with the arrival of Canadian Mike Flanagan, the husband of Yaichi's unexpectedly deceased twin brother Ryoji. Mike is looking into Ryoji's past, and Yaichi reluctantly takes him into the family. Kana meets her new Canadian uncle with enthusiasm and innocent curiosity. This forces Yaichi to face social problems and his own homophobia as he learns to accept his brother-in-law.
