1994 plot

Not everyone will remember, but 1994 was a turbulent year for Mexico. During his presidential campaign that year, politician Luis Donaldo Colosio was assassinated on March 23. In the same year, the Zapatista National Liberation Army revolted against the government and took over some control of a jungle in Chiapas state. These events converge in the 1994 series, which consists of archive footage and new interviews with Mexican politicians in 1994, including former president Carlos Salinas.
