The Shards plot
Los Angeles, 1981. Seventeen-year-old Bret Easton Ellis is in his final year at an elite private school. The arrival of Robert, a mysterious new student, turns his world upside down. At the same time, a brutal serial killer named "The Trawler" is terrorizing the city. Bret becomes convinced that Robert has a dark past and that he is directly connected to The Trawler's murders.
