When Calls the Heart plot

In the early 1900s, a well-bred woman, Elizabeth Thatcher, leaves town to become a teacher in a Canadian mining town. When the coal company wants the town's widows to move to make way for new miners, Elizabeth devises a plan to stop it. The arrival of new miners in Coal Valley causes excitement among the women, but it is Billy who impresses Elizabeth. This much to the dismay of Jack, who has had a crush on Elizabeth for a while. Who will Elizabeth Thatcher ultimately choose?
