The Many Lives of Benjaman Kyle plot
The series unravels the bizarre story of a man who claimed for twenty years to suffer from a rare form of amnesia, but whose past turned out to harbor a dark secret. In August 2004, a naked, injured man with no possessions or identification was found behind a Burger King in Georgia. Because he claimed to remember nothing, he adopted the name "Benjaman Kyle." For years, his identity remained a mystery, until genetic genealogists identified him in 2015 through DNA testing as William "Bill" Powell from Indiana. It turned out he had been missing since 1976. Further investigation revealed his amnesia to be a deliberate lie. Powell turned out to have a violent background and maintained ties to an organized crime family.
