A Different World plot

Deborah Wayne is the youngest daughter of Whitley Gilbert and Dwayne Wayne, who is lovingly protected. She is a free spirit with a penchant for the spotlight and a big heart, who is still finding her own way. We follow her during her first year at Hillman College, her parents' alma mater, an HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities), where she must step out of their shadow and build her own legacy.
