Kujô no Taizai plot
Taiza Kujo is a brilliant but highly controversial lawyer. Unlike his peers, Kujo refuses to pass moral judgment on his clients; he exclusively defends the "bottom" of society, including hardened criminals, gang members, and ex-convicts. Kujo uses the law as a weapon and exploits loopholes to exonerate his clients, regardless of their guilt. He lives frugally in a tent on the roof of a building and seems to attach little value to status or standard ethics. When the young, ambitious lawyer Shinji Karasuma begins working for Kujo, he is quickly shocked by Kujo's methods, which completely blur the thin line between justice and corruption.
