The Lincoln Lawyer plot
Lawyer Mickey Haller is finally doing well. After two years of going astray, Haller is back in court. When Hollywood attorney Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: defending Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover. But as Haller prepares for the case that could bring him much, he discovers that Vincent's killer is after him next time.

I enjoyed watching the entire series and because I have read almost all of Michael Connely's books, I can say that I find a lot of the books in this series. I really hope for a sequel because season 1 is only 1 book.

'The Lincoln Lawyer' satisfies a little of the hunger left by 'Better Call Saul'. An immensely sympathetic criminal defense attorney like Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia Rulfo) tries to see the good in his clients. Sometimes innocent people are punished by an imperfect criminal justice system. By procedural errors, corruption, negative imagery and financial inequality. But unlike 'Slippery' Jimmy McGill, Mickey Haller is ultimately more of a hero than an anti-hero. Perhaps Haller will get a little more darkness in subsequent seasons, but in any case, don't expect a moral decline. The criminal defense attorney as the moral heart of a constitutional state. It's all a bit tame and predictable. Nevertheless, 'The Lincoln Lawyer' is a nice courtroom series full of sexy atmospheric shots, legal games and an entertaining plot with enough surprises.
