Countdown plot
A Department of Homeland Security agent is murdered in broad daylight. LAPD Detective Mark Meachum is recruited into a secret unit, along with undercover agents from every branch of law enforcement, to investigate. But the hunt for the killer soon uncovers a plot far more sinister than anyone could have imagined, sparking a race against time to save a city of millions.

A very average, rather predictable action series. It's enjoyable to watch, but don't expect too much.
The characters are rather stereotypical. An elite police unit consisting of the tough, rough-edged protagonist, the beautiful, strong woman who refuses to fall for him, the inscrutable, unattentive boss who imparts wise life lessons, the computer nerd who can stop an atomic bomb from his smartphone, and so on.
The villains are also all pretty much predictable and what you would expect from such a series.
There's constant action, so if you like that (I do) then you'll be happy.
And the nice thing is that it is an ongoing story and not just another series where each episode is standalone and the problem is solved in 50 minutes.
