Drama, yes, but mystery? This series is a bit too sappy for me, and the lead actress's voiceover is a bit much. In terms of storytelling and execution, this series reminds me of The Brokenwood Mysteries; murders always involving the same group of villagers. Unfortunately, all rather simplistically executed. The nature of the plots earned me a pass, but will a second season be worth it? I don't think so, despite the disappointing cliffhanger at the end of this season.
