Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle plot

Jeffrey Ros and Brian Moses present this Roast Battle where a number of comedians compete against each other for the coveted title of Roast Battle Champion. Every night there is live duos and every night two comedians drop out. The final will be played in front of a live audience. The comedians have to convince not only the audience, but also the jury, which consists of established names such as Sarah Silverman, Whoopi Goldberg, Judd Apatow and Kevin Hart.

Leuk dat dit op de site mag, had ‘t niet verwacht. Als ik sterren zou uitgeven op basis van hoeveel ik gelachen heb zou dit de volle 5* krijgen. Echter omdat dit niet een ‘traditionele’ serie is (zelfs geen docu-serie, waar ik soms nog last heb met beoordelen) kan ik er niet meer dan 3,5* aan kwijt. ‘The Wave’ zal 90% van het publiek waarschijnlijk in de verkeerde keelgat schieten maar wat een geweldig groepje idioten, zeg; totaal geen touw aan vast te knopen. Waarschijnlijk net als ‘The Burn’ zullen er geen verdere seizoenen komen maar Ross zal ongetwijfeld met een nieuwe incarnatie komen om het roasten voort te zetten.

Nice that this is allowed on the site, didn't expect it. If I were to give stars based on how much I laughed it would get the full 5*. However, because this is not a 'traditional' series (not even a docu-series, which I sometimes still struggle with judging) I can't spend more than 3.5* on it. 'The Wave' will probably piss off 90% of the audience, but what a great bunch of idiots; no strings attached at all. Likely like 'The Burn' there will be no further seasons but Ross will no doubt come up with a new incarnation to continue the roasting.
