From the makers of The SImpsons, Futurama details the adventures of a late-20th-century New York City pizza delivery boy, Philip J. Fry, who, after being unwittingly cryogenically frozen for one thousand years, finds employment at Planet Express, an interplanetary delivery company in the retro-futuristic 31st century.

Zeg wat je wil over dit seizoen, maar de finale blijft één van de beste Futurama-afleveringen. En ook de serie in het algemeen blijft erg leuk. Het niveau is minder constant dan dat van Rick and Morty, en het heeft meer filler, maar desondanks blijft het een erg leuke serie, die humor, drama en creatieve science-fiction verhaallijnen uitstekend weet te combineren (The Late Philip J. Fry (S6E07) is ook een fijne laatbloeier). Ik ben trouwens benieuwd naar de mogelijke Netflix-serie van Matt Groening. The Simpsons is al jaren uit ideeën, maar misschien spoort een nieuwe serie hem weer aan tot enige creativiteit.

Say what you will about this season, but the finale remains one of the best Futurama episodes. And the series in general is still very nice. The level is less consistent than Rick and Morty's, and it has more filler, but nevertheless it remains a very fun series, which combines humor, drama and creative science-fiction storylines excellently (The Late Philip J. Fry (S6E07 ) is also a nice late bloomer).

By the way, I'm curious about the possible Netflix series by Matt Groening. The Simpsons has been out of ideas for years, but maybe a new series will spur him back to some creativity.
