Great first season and with the cliffhanger at the end there will definitely be a second season. Three quarters of an hour for one crime story is unfortunately a bit too short next to the personal concerns of the various characters. In that respect, the first story was a bit more in depth in episodes 1 and 2. The roles were played well; I do have some experience with autistic people, but the view that this series gives on it is still partly new and enlightening.

I really enjoyed the first season of this series. Ella Maisy Purvis gave a great performance as the autistic Patience. I'm now halfway through the second season. The plot is well-constructed, though there are some improbabilities. In the second season, things get a bit soapy with Patience's love life. For a (severely?) autistic person, she's remarkably sociable at times. I have my doubts about that. Moreover, she's incredibly knowledgeable, bordering on unbelievable. But there are worse series. I noticed that the inspector was quickly written out.

Annoying series. 45 minutes to solve a case... if the autistic person has a good clue, it's because of her autism; if the autistic person has a bad clue, it's because of her autism. The autism fluctuates quite a bit...

A mother who forgets to pick up her child from school (we've only seen that trick 100 times before in a series) and luckily there's something wrong with the child! (Yes, because these days we only count when there's something wrong with us, it seems.)

I've never seen the lead actress (who isn't autistic) look anything other than a deer in headlights (in anything she's in). In short, I'm quitting. ...watching, I mean. (Oh, I have nothing against people on the autistic spectrum; I've enjoyed working with them for 25 years.)
