17-year-old Julie has been missing for six months and police investigator Jan Michelsen is desperate to give her mother answers. When Jan finds the remains of a girl of the same age and another girl is suddenly kidnapped, he enlists the help of profiler Louise Bergstein to better understand the killer's mind. Pressured to rescue the two kidnapped girls, Jan and Louise must predict the killer's next move.

A new season that can be watched without having seen the previous three seasons. The plot is well put together with an interesting twist somewhere around episodes 5 and 6, which unfortunately makes the remaining episodes too predictable. It takes some getting used to the soporific characters again; the underlying reason for this choice escapes me. The acting performances are not bad, but I found the stepdaughter "My" to stand out the most, in a positive way. Also in this season it is a pity that the detectives keep doing one-man investigations: standard in this type of series but far from reality and sometimes with dramatic consequences. All in all, this season is still worth watching. My score is largely determined by that twist.
