Strong two-part documentary about the rise and fall of tennis phenomenon Boris Becker. Director Alex Gibney interviews him in 2019 and again in 2022, when Becker's financial problems have escalated into a lawsuit. Both parts, the aptly titled Triumph and Disaster, are worthwhile and contain a wealth of beautiful archive recordings and interviews. Becker is a difficult to understand, often arrogant person, but ultimately I felt sorry for him, no matter how many wrong decisions he has made in his life. And there are a lot of them.
