The charming southern French tourist locations such as Avignon, Aix-en-Provence, Grasse, Juan-les-Pins ... add something refreshing to this series and I also had a good time with the protagonists, first of all the often enjoyable, innocent bickering couple, played by Roger Allam and Nancy Carroll.
Unfortunately. For example, the first episode was very ordinary and although the second was heading for a decent figure, the ending, in which people laconically satisfied themselves with the solution surrounding one murder, while the other two were "for later", was inferior.
Fortunately, the third was a lot better, with a better script, a plausible plot and some action and tension, so I still give it a small 3.5 for the whole thing.

I only saw one episode, but this series airs in black and white, and you'd think it was made in the 1960s. Old-fashioned and aristocratic. But the most annoying thing was that it was set in Provence and the main language was English—don't even let the French know.
