Maybe slightly better than series 1, but it remains very marginal. Too much redneck, too little credibility, and way too little use of the environment. Furthermore, my commentary on series 1 remains somewhat relevant, the characters are too unsympathetic and too superficial. What still amazes me is that I've finished watching the series.

Great second season, which, although it really starts a bit late (from episode seven it goes completely wild), but in any case is continuously entertaining. The already familiar characters get a little more depth, the storyline around eternal loser Jimmy (Jefferson White) is very nice, and a number of memorable new villains are introduced. Also this time the series is not for the faint of heart; the violence is portrayed bluntly and graphically. The climax in episode ten isn't satisfying in every way, but this contemporary western is still compelling enough for me to want to keep watching.

100 shades of grey, but in Yellowstone the world is black or white, good or bad. In this modern western, hierarchy is fought out, problems are covered up and serious mental issues are solved in 1 minute. Clear! The warmth of the ranch is in stark contrast to the cold and flawed characters that populate the estate. Yet there is again a nice flow in this second season, and the scenario is interesting enough. In the world of Taylor Sheridan, time stands still. For a long time, apparently.
