Some disappointing news for Bond fans as it seems we are a long way away from finding Daniel Craig's replacement.
Though initially a controversial choice to play 007, Craig led the franchise through its most commercially successful period, while Casino Royale and Skyfall in particular are recognised as two of the best movies in the history of the character.
The actor has retired from the role after No Time to Die which means producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are searching for a new star to don the tuxedo.
But, we're a long way away from any news on that front.
"It’s gonna take a while for us to get - you know, it’s a whole new reinvention. So it’ll take some time," Broccoli told Variety.
Each actor who has played Bond has brought something different to the role, and any new actor will need to do the same.
"When you change the actor you have to reimagine the direction the film's gonna go on," Broccoli previously told Empire.
"When you hire an actor, you're hoping you're going to spend a decade at least with them and make four or five or six films with them. So you have to think through, 'What is the trajectory? What is that actor going to bring? How are you going to move the series into another direction?'
"It's not just flicking through Spotlight and saying, 'Oh, there's a guy who's 6'1'."
In an interview with the BBC, Broccoli would claim that the franchise will see another "reboot".
James Bond reality show
In the meantime, we are getting a reality series based on the adventures of 007.
007: Road to a Million is presented by Brian Cox, and gives participants the opportunity to win a huge payday.
The show “follows nine pairs of everyday people as they are unleashed on an epic global adventure through a series of Bond-inspired challenges for a shot at each winning a life-changing £1,000,000 ($1.2 million) prize."
