In what has been an impressively kept secret, Anya Taylor-Joy actually has a role in Dune: Part Two.
The movie already boasted a hugely talented cast including Timothee Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, Charlotte Rampling, Javier Bardem, Austin Butler, Florence Pugh, Christopher Walken, and Lea Seydoux.
And, it appears Taylor-Joy is it, too.
When asked by Warner Bros. if she was in Dune: Part Two, she responded:
"You’ll have to see the film."
However, she later apparently confirmed the cameo, saying:
"Having seen it, this is probably one of the best movies I’ve seen in my entire life. Genuinely, Denis has killed it, it’s incredible. This is a dream come true, you know? The books are incredible but with this cast and with Denis, it doesn’t get any better than that.”
Dune: Messiah
Dune: Part One included the plot of around half of the epic novel written by Frank Herbert, while Part Two will focus on the second half. Frank Herbert continued the series with Messiah, and the assumption is that director Denis Villeneuve and the relevant cast will return for Part Three.
"If I succeed in making a trilogy, that would be the dream," the acclaimed director told Empire.
"Dune Messiah was written in reaction to the fact that people perceived Paul Atreides as a hero, which is not what Herbert wanted to do. My adaptation is closer to his idea that it’s actually a warning."
When asked about the prospect of a third movie being made, Villeneuve responded: "There are words on paper".
