Outlaw Ace Pringle wants to get his hands on a chest of money that is transported by stagecoach. Ace sends his henchmen out, but he hasn't counted on Steve McLain, a secret government agent, who travels incognito. Ace, thinking Steve now has the cash box, tries unsuccessfully with his men and the corrupt local sheriff to kill him. Before Ace's men can get it, Steve takes the cash box and hides it. But Linda, his girlfriend and daughter of Judge Forbes, sees that. Linda now thinks Steve is an outlaw and she tries to return the cash box, but she is discovered by Ace and his men.
