The Vanishing Frontier plot
"Days of Early California!"
California, 1850. The military government headed by Governor General Winfield enforces its laws against the Spaniards by force. One of them, Juan Valdez, loses his country for refusing the oath of allegiance to the United States. The bandit Kirby Tornell, who leads a group of guerrillas, robs a stagecoach on which Winfield's men travel. In the town square, Waco and Hornet O'Lowery, two of the robbers, are then sentenced to the noose by Captain Roger Kearney.
